First, I just want to share that I found THE DRESS, and we’ve put a deposit on it and ordered it! If you want a picture, I can send one to you, but I can’t post any online because Dustin will see it.
Now that that’s out of the way, Dustin and I have begun the process of finding a DJ, a florist and a baker.
A short rant…
So, I’m sure a lot of brides and grooms run into this problem. When I’m at work, I work. I don’t have a lot of time to schedule appointments to meet with vendors. Luckily, I have a wonderful mother who has time during the day to contact vendors and ask some questions before I try to beat the clock after work and schedule appointments with them. I wonder how people who don’t have that kind of resource do it.
Also, because we live in Muncie, and our wedding is in Carmel, we have to meet on Saturdays and Sundays. Why aren’t more vendors open for consultations on the weekends? They might consider having a person on staff to do consultations on the weekends for us busy, modern women who work.
Now that the rant is over…
We are scheduling meetings to talk to Heavenly Sweets and Classic Cakes for bakeries; Evan’s Audio Visual and TLW Entertainment for DJs; and JP Parker Flowers and McNamara for florists. If you know of any other area places, let me know! If you know either Dustin or me, you know we’re particular and we want the day to be perfect.
